ARAB INTERNATIONAL FOOD AND OIL PROCESSING COMPANY (AIFCO)
From Morocco to Yemen, tens of thousands of bottles of AIFCO corn, sunflower and palm oils are consumed by consumers each month.
AIFCO specialises in refining and packaging a range of edible oils, including corn, soya, sunflower, palm oil, Ghee, margarine and shortening, for local and export markets including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Libya, Ethiopia, Algeria and Iran.
The company was established in 1994 and production started in 1995 with the well-known Murjan corn oil brand and Alfi vegetable Ghee. The company obtained its full ISO 9002 certificate in 1998.
Situated on a plot of 40,000square metres with 18,000square metres of buildings, in 1997, the company started exporting vegetable Ghee for the Iraqi market, in accordance with the Jordan-Iraqi protocol and the United Nations Oil for Food Program. The plant supplied the Civil Consumption Corporation (CCC) and the Military Consumption Corporation (MCC) with most of their needs of edible oil. Another major contract was with the Libyan government to provide 25,000 metric tons of corn oil packed in 0.8 kg tin cans.
Today the plant works with more than 20 leading food brands and has six fully automatic lines capable of filling all types and sizes of containers, and also has a full line for processing and filling margarine and shortening.
As well as the very latest laboratories and workshop, there is a 500kW/h stand-by generator, a wastewater treatment unit, a 6,000 ton finished goods storage facility, and a fleet of more than 40 tankers and trucks for delivery and distribution.
