We provided the full range of life support services, including design build services, for the Al Asad Regional Police Academy located at the Al Asad Air Base, between February and September 2005.

IRAQ POLICE TRAINING PROGRAMME IN JORDAN
In support of the Coalition Provisional Authority and the Public Security Directorate of Jordan, SBIG, Tri-Service and DynCorp manage the Iraqi Police Training Programme at facilities in Jordan. SBIG provides logistics services and other life support to the programme, which is expected to train 32,000 Iraqi police over the next several years.

Services include:

  • Supplies, warehousing and inventory
  • Housekeeping and janitorial services
  • Catering
  • Medical services
  • Facilities maintenance
  • Translator/interpreter services
  • Transportation

With 720 personnel assigned to this project, SBIG is on schedule in providing life support and other logistics services, and the client has consistently ranked quality, delivery and satisfaction as "Excellent", reporting:

"No overruns or delays have been experienced on this contract. SBIG consistently delivers high quality products and services and outstanding customer satisfaction."

NEW IRAQI ARMY TRAINING PROGRAMME
Under a contract with the Jordanian Armed Forces and involving over 700 personnel on site, SBIG has just completed the design and construction of new camp facilities for training the Iraqi army. The project included site development and design and construction of training facilities, housing and related infrastructure, including power supply, water and sewage systems, and communications networks. The facilities cover 12,000square metres, and accommodate approximately 1,000 trainees.

The project was accomplished in 40 days, a feat the client described as 'mission impossible'.

THREE FM RADIO STATIONS:
SBIG was entrusted to supply, build and commission three complete FM radio stations through one of its affiliates, International Engineering Services, in Iraq, for the Coalition Provisional Authority. This project also was delivered in a record three months.

THE FUTURE
Contracts in Iraq have given SBIG LTS the opportunity to prove and establish itself as a credible life support contractor. Consequently, SBIG LTS is currently implementing a growth and diversification strategy, opening offices in Dubai, Qatar and Libya.

Our strategy is highly focused on the Middle East region to take advantage of the dynamic infrastructure development opportunities, where remote construction support services are required.

Even in the most demanding and hostile of environments SBIG LTS is building a name for itself as a world-class life support and logistics company.Logistic / Life Support
